Tasting on the quay

Every spring the quay turns into a bustling terrace full of flavours. Local brewers, bakers and cheesemakers set up their stalls along the water and are happy to share a bite or a sip with passers-by. At the stall of brewery De Gouden Golf, owner Tom proudly pours his latest IPA. "Every season we experiment with a new recipe," he tells a group of tasters. Further along there's the smell of freshly baked bread and aged cheese, as visitors wander from stall to stall, tasting and talking to the makers about their craft. With a view of the water and the buzz of cheerful chatter, the quay is the place to lose an afternoon among local flavours.
